Don’t Stop At Your Face!
Make sure you always extend the application of your Synergie skincare products to your neck and décolleté – and your hands too!
Investing in high-quality, medical-grade skincare like Synergie will produce great results for your facial skin, but it’s important to extend the benefits of the products to your neck and décolleté too. These areas are particularly prone to aging, as the skin is thinner and especially susceptible to sun damage – and lines associated with how we sleep*.
The Synergie line includes a product especially formulated for the neck/décolleté (Elastense), but even if you don’t use this specialized item, you can still ensure this area is well looked after simply by wiping your palms on the skin of your neck and décolleté, after applying your usual serums and creams to your face.
Similarly, aging hands can be quite a concern for many of us. Synergie has a dedicated cosmeceutical hand cream (Hand ResQ) to target the hands – but it’s also a great idea to finish off the application of your serums and creams by rubbing your palms across the backs of your hands, making use of every last drop, so that your hands/neck/décolleté all look like they’re the same age…
*TAL editorial aside: Aren’t those vertical lines in the décolleté so annoying? If you can make yourself sleep on your back all night, great! A client once told me she taught herself to sleep all night on her back to avoid decolleté lines by putting a crocodile clip in the hair on each side of her head above her ears; they make it too uncomfortable to lie sideways!
Daily Routine: The Basics of Using Synergie Skincare
Did you know that there is a specific “order” in which to use your skincare products? It’s pretty simple really, and is summarized below.
- Basic routine is Cleanse → ” Treat “→ Moisturize / Protect
- Use thinnest product to thickest (i.e. more liquid/runny first)
- Wait ~5 minutes after applying serums, before applying moisturizers.
- Vitamins A and B are compatible but never mix or use at the same time as either form of vitamin C.
- Use vitamin C in the morning and vitamins A+B in the evening.
- One pump should be sufficient for the face and neck.

Sunscreen In Your Foundation / Foundation In Your Sunscreen
Summer’s sunny days mean you have to be extra vigilant with sun protection! Synergie Minerals caters to your sunscreen AND foundation needs, whether your preference is for loose powder (Second Skin Crush), compressed (Mineral Whip or new SkinPressive) or liquid (BB Flawless) foundations.
Each all-natural Synergie Mineral foundation is formulated with protection in mind – as well as beautification. They contain physical sunscreens in the form of non-nanoparticle zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and iron oxide, which provide a physical barrier to reflect harmful UVA, UVB, infrared and visible light rays off the skin’s surface. This broad-spectrum effect helps prevent the skin from showing signs of photoaging, burning and melasma – without the need for chemical (light-absorbing) sunscreen ingredients (also termed “organic sunscreens”), which may have effects on the body’s hormones and some of which have been banned in certain states due to their environmental harm.

Synergie has a long list of both skin care and makeup ingredients that are commonly found in other lines, but you won’t find in its products.
