What type of foundation will I need?
Wonderful news for those who prefer a lighter more natural look, the Spring trend is for a clean, glowing, natural complexion. The foundation will be lighter and possibly mixed with moisturizer to give it a more luminous finish. Synergie Minerals BB Flawless foundations are perfect for this look. Yes I know, I am shamelessly promoting this product, but when I saw the article about what was trending, I thought it was a great chance to share the news.
If you prefer a lighter, more of a tinted moisturizer look, then you can simply mix the BB Flawless with your chosen moisturizer. I do this and mix it with my Synergie Hydrolock. It gives me great coverage, sunscreen and skincare all in one application. I love the fact I can reapply my ‘tinted moisturizer’ throughout the day without ending up with a thick base, but still have that soft luminous look.
What color palette is trending?
If you are unsure what the eye and lip colors are for this coming season, then think ‘natural’. Apparently there is “a movement toward the cooler and softer side of the color spectrum. It’s an ethereal mix of understated brights, pale pastels and nature-like neutrals.” according to Pantone, the Fashion Color Report Spring 2015.
How about eyeliner?
If you like to wear eyeliner, then you will be pleased to know that the ‘winged eyeliner’ with a thick black line continues to be a favorite. MagnifEye in Jet (pure black with no tar pigments… yes, some brands do use these, but not Synergie!) perfects that look. If you are older like me and a bit nervous about applying eyeliner, don’t worry the applicator brush draws a perfect line, even a thinner one which is recommended for us. They say it makes the whites of the eyes look brighter and ‘wakes up the eyes’. You should try it. I did and love the results.
As to the rest of your makeup routine, if you like to add dimension to your face use a light bronzer. Sweep it lightly along your cheekbones, jawline and temples for sheer, warm coverage. To complete the look think lip colour, neutral and sheer.
